Discounts without discounting a sale price

Is there a way in Acumatica, we are on version 2024 R2 for a few more months, to setup a discount so that it doesn’t discount a promotional sale price?

We would prefer that the customer gets the better price of:

  • Base price
  • Customer specific price
  • Sale Price
  • Discounted base price

However, when I setup a discount that would include an item with a sale price, Acumatica discounts the sale price driving down the margin unacceptably.

Thanks!

@swittrock currently there is a possibility to ignore line discounts for a price on the Sales Prices form, which is enabled automatically for promotional prices.

But it isn’t applied to document or group discounts.

@vshashkova doing that still doesn’t give the discounted base price when it is the less expensive option for the customer.  At least the discount isn’t applied to the promotional sale price.

Here is the example:

Base: $190.77

Promotional Sale Price: $172.00

Discount of 15% off base: $162.15

The system as with the checkbox you suggested checking gives the $172 price.  We would like the system to give the $162.15 price.

It looks like you configured the “Promotional Sale Price” as customer specific price, probably as a Sales Price/Sales Price Worksheet with Price Type customer.

Is your issue that the price ends up being $146.2 as Acumatica takes the promotional price and then applies the discount on top of that?

@Samvel Petrosov no customer specific price entered, the sale price would be for all customers. However, one customer has a discount that covers this same item. Acumatica either doesn't give the discount or discounts the sale price.  The customer should get the base price less the discount, so $162.15.
