Hello,

I’m trying to automate the Create Purchase Order Process of my MYOB Acumatica.

Though the automation works, it stops with the error, “Owner Cannot be Empty”.

I have identified this because, there is no Linked Entity connected with Admin user and hence no Owner is filling on the Purchase Order form. And the field is mandatory.

The admin user is not editable even to a full user.

Is there any way that I can automate the process.

Hi @apallawala21

This might be due to permissions.

Try checking Access Rights by Screen. Please select Access Rights for your User Role as "Delete" permissions with the Users screen.

Then select Linked Entity on the Users screen to connect with the Employee.

Best Regards,

NNT

Hi @nhatnghetinh

I can modify every other user than admin. I think for MYOB Acumatica, the admin user behavior is little different.

Thank You

Hi @apallawala21

So try creating another User with the User Role "Administrator". In fact, we don't use the “admin” user for actual data entry.

Hi @nhatnghetinh

I was already using a user with Administrator access, also created another user and re-create the automation. But the result is same.

And I have tried creating some other documents through Automation Schedules which does not require owner as the mandatory field. Those transactions are created successfully from Admin user.

I believe if it is a transaction created from an Automation Schedule the created-on user is admin despite the creator of the Automation Schedule in MYOB Acumatica.

Also, I found a known issue in MYOB Acumatica Knowledge Base which matches with my concern.

On Users (SM201010), we can no longer link Admin user to a linked entity (employee). This field is now greyed out

Guess this should be escalated to Myob.

Thank You
