Hi Community,

In a situation with 2 different Shopify Stores, B2C and B2B, are connected to the same Acumatica site, and some Inventory Items are in one store vs in another store, does anyone have a solution for the Inventory Items staying active in Acumatica?

The Items are created in the Shopify stores, but when the sync runs for each store, it will mark all of the items in the other store as Inactive in Acumatica. Is there any way around this?

Thanks,

-RJ

@rkenna Acumatica keeps one Item Status per item, and both stores write to it. Every time a store imports a product, the connector sets Item Status from that store's product status. Active becomes Active and Draft becomes Inactive. It matches the product to an existing item by SKU (Inventory ID first, then the Global and External SKU alternate IDs), so a B2C product with the same SKU as a B2B item updates that same item.

Look up one of the SKUs that went inactive in the other store. If it's there as a Draft product, that's your cause.

There's no per-store item status, so the fix is on the Shopify side. If an item has to exist in both stores, keep it Active in both and leave it off the sales channels in the store that doesn't sell it. Item Status comes from the product status alone, not from where it's published, so the next import sets the item back to Active.

One catch. If the item entity on a store is Bidirectional instead of Import, an export from Acumatica publishes an Active product to every sales channel in that store. In that case add Export Filtering for the entity on Entities (BC202000) for each store, by item class or an attribute, so each store only gets its own items.

Try it on one SKU before you change the rest.
