Return report as from customisation via rest api

Hi all

Perhaps a case of running before I’m walking here and quite probably missed some step in the docs/examples.

So what I’ve done is develop a customization which I intend to build an extension library from. In this customization I created a report (This report is kind of like a Purchase Order).  Now what I want to do is to via a rest service call where I pass in a record id, download this report as a pdf.

In the customization I think I’ve got the method sorted to generate the pdf document, but I can’t figure out how to wire up a service endpoint to trigger this method and return the pdf.

Are there any examples around I should be looking at?  Or advise on how to do this?

Hi @Stu,

Starting 23R2, you can map the report object to the endpoint extension, kindly refer the section Web Services: Retrieval of Reports Through the REST API, page 11 in the developer release nores, https://acumatica-builds.s3.amazonaws.com/builds/preview/23.2/ReleaseNotes/AcumaticaERP_2023R2_Beta2_ReleaseNotes_for_Developers.pdf

and also, https://help.acumatica.com/(W(7))/Help?ScreenId=ShowWiki&pageid=21913555-544a-4552-b313-072794f6bd5c

Hope that helps, feel free to post if you have any questions, Good Luck.!

Thanks so much Vignesh.  Unfortunately, I probably didn’t explain myself properly, sorry for that.  Compounding things slight change of requirements so probably heading a different direction
