Acumatica Push Notification Issue: Triggering API multiple times on single addition to GI

Good day Acumatica Community,

I have a GI linked to a Push Notification in Acumatica and on addition of a row to the GI my push notification is triggered to send the JSON information to an external API. The issue I am facing is that this specific push notification is resulting in more than one API call per row addition which is unusual as I have similar push notification setup for a different API and the information in the GI’s is nearly identical.

I have tested the API via PostMan and the issue is not recreated so my assumption is that it is something on the Acumatica side, possibly queue overflow or timeout?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hi @KyranW ,

Could you please share the GI to review?

Hi @jinin,

I have attached the XML export of the GI. If you need any additional information please let me know.

Thank you

Hi @KyranW ,

Could you please deactivate the last two joins and try again? This condition might be causing duplicate records.

I tested it locally with demo data but didn’t get any data to load.

Thank you @jinin,

Unfortunately those 2 joins are necessary to include barcode and article information that is posted to the API.

Much appreciated

@KyranW Are you tracking all fields of the GI in your push notification?

If so, can you please track only the LastModifiedDateTime field as shown below

Hope this helps!

Thanks @varthinibhaskaran18,

That seems to have improved the situation along with sending a 200 response to Acumatica as soon as the push notification has been received.

However, it is still triggering multiple API calls in some cases.

Kind Regards

Hi @KyranW ,

Are you seeing any duplicate records while viewing the inquiry? Additionally, please cross-check the JSON. If there are any issues with the joins, multiple PNs may get triggered.
