Side ribbon - Open side ribbon by default on a specific ScreenID with a pre-selected icon

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to have the side ribbon (side panel) open by default when a user navigates to a specific screen — and ideally with a specific icon/tab pre-selected.

Context:

  • Specific ScreenID (e.g. a custom or standard screen)
  • Specific side panel icon should be expanded automatically on load
  • Goal: avoid the user having to click the icon every time

Any pointers, code samples, or references to the framework API would be greatly appreciated.

Hi ​@raphrf,

As far as I know, this isn’t currently supported. I did find a related idea posted in the Acumatica Community Ideas section.

However, I’d be happy to hear if anyone has discovered a workaround or a creative approach to achieve this.

    I've worked with side panel code a lot recently. I can see this potentially being possible, but I haven't tried it. I will later today.
