Portal My Cart - add attachments

I have a request to add file attachments to the My Cart details grid and have those carry over to sales order lines.  Is there a trick to this?  If I try to add NoteID it changes to UsrNoteID and I also don’t think this field works on a DAC extension with PXNote attribute.
