Make the Notes popup read only for certain user classes

I have a customer request to make the notes popup on a grid in the Opportunities screen be read only except for a particular user class.

I’ve not worked much with panels and I wondered if anyone had an opinion if this a possible.

Thanks in advance for any input.

@aaghaei posted something a couple of years back that might give you a way to do this. It doesn’t make the note read-only but it does revert any changes made to notes.
