How to monitor the total qty sales of 1 specific item

Hello,

      I have a need to do something (subscriber) when the sales qty of 1 item reaches a predefined amount.
I find the table INItemSalesHis contains the information. 
      But the trigger does not work out in business event, like below

 

       Is there any other way I can fulfill my need.
