How do I make a button execute on user pressing Enter on the keyboard

Pressing enter usually only impacts the control that has focus.

Can you describe more of the screen’s purpose so we can figure out if there’s another way to invoke that logic?

The screen is for entering data using a bar code scanner. The scanner will enter the text it reads from the barcode/qr code into a text field and press enter. I would like the “Submit” button to be pressed when it happens. The screen is designed around not all users having a barcode so they can enter the data themselves as well.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, as the main question for me is why you don’t trigger the action immediately after scanning the barcode. Since you developed the screen, you are already handling an event when the user scans or types a value in the field. Why not invoke your action at that point?

The PXButton attribute does provide properties for shortcuts, but these only work for standard keys, not the Enter key. If you specifically need Enter to trigger an action, you would have to use JavaScript. However, the simplest and most efficient approach would be to execute your action within the method that processes the scanning or typing event.
