I have a custom field in the header of a screen.  I cannot find a way to add the hyperlink button to the field.

This was addressed for a grid field here:

I’ve added the [PXDBWeblink] to the DAC field, but that does not make the link button show.

I think I might have to modify the TS file, but I cannot adapt the code from the above topic.

export class CROpportunityHeader_Combined_generated {
    UsrURL: PXFieldState;

Any help would be super appreciated.

We can also add at TS level.

Example:

@fieldConfig({ controlType: "qp-link-editor" })
UsrURL: PXFieldState;

I found how to do it by opening AR302000 in classic mode, converting to modern UI, then finding the field in the html file.

    <field name="Opportunity.UsrURL" control-type="qp-link-editor" after="#fsHeader_C FIELD[name='Opportunity.UsrEngineer']"></field>

None of the above mentioned approaches work when you try to add a link to a header field of a new screen (not an existing Acumatica screen).

The only solution for that situation is:

Let’s assume the field “MyField” holds the RefNbr of an APInvoice. The APInvoice DAC has this Attribute (which will lead to the opening in the APInvoiceEntry graph, or in plain English, it will open the Bills and Adjustments screen):

[PXPrimaryGraph(typeof(APInvoiceEntry))]

Therefor you need to decorate “MyField” in your DAC with this PXSelectorAttribute:

  [PXSelector(typeof(Search<PX.Objects.AP.APInvoice.refNbr, Where<PX.Objects.AP.APInvoice.refNbr, Equal<Current<myField>>>>))]

Add the field to the .html file:
      <field name="MyField"></field>

Add the following to the .ts file: (your field options might be different)

  @controlConfig({ allowEdit: true })
  MyField: PXFieldState<PXFieldOptions.CommitChanges | PXFieldOptions.Disabled>;

DO NOT add any control-type="qp-link-editor" the steps outlined above (Selector and controlConfig) do their job
