Hello. I am looking for anyone who uses the system to estimate freight quotes for potential sales opportunities or quotes. We are working on uploading the weights and dims for products currently, but interested in ideas for sales to use the system to quotes vs requesting shipping for quotes.

Have you looked at Acumatica's available freight features as shown in the screenshots below?

Try using Sales Orders with Order Type as QT (Quote). QT has the same feature as Order Type: SO (Sales Order) so you can estimate freight
If you still want to use Opportunities/Quotes, try creating a Non-Stock Item as freight. Then add this Non-Stock Item line to the DETAILS of Opportunities/Quotes.

How does this take into consideration box weight and dims or where one shipment could have multiple boxes with different dims? I’m not looking for a place to plug a shipment dollar amount but would use our rates to calc a shipment cost based on package level details. Maybe this is a far stretch of the system.
