Duplicate Validation - won't block from creation when there is a duplicate

Hello! I am testing the duplicate validation settings and have set the account name to “block” for create on entry if it is a duplicate. I also have the validate on entry check box checked.

When I tested by creating a business account using the same exact account name as an existing business account, the system did not block me from saving, instead if only marked it as possible duplicates.

Does anyone have any idea on why the validation failed? Are there other settings that I failed to check?

Hello @jzhu

That's because the Split Words transformation is used for the Account Name. We have identified this as a known issue.

We will forbid using Split Words with Warn and Block in the 2024 R2  version (And the issue already  fixed there).

Now It does not allow to save the duplicate account name business account in 24R2 version.

It shows an error as below. Please refer to my 24R2 replication steps.
