I’ve built a dashboard for our sales manager which shows quarterly information as well as YTD information.

Now that it is 2024, I want to provide the ability to toggle between current year data and prior year data. Is there a way to do this with use of an added parameter?

The widgets currently pull information based on Order Date is between @YearStart/@QuarterStart, @YearEnd/@QuarterEnd.

Are you looking for something like a parameter on the dashboard that you can then pass in to your GI. If so you could use the parameter on a dashboard like this

Then use the Filter Setting on the GI on the dashboard.

Hi @dcomerford,

I tried the same thing, but the filter does not seem to work for me on the dashboard screen:

No matter what date I insert, the result is the total number of records and not for specific period. Could you please help me out.

Regards,

Raj

@rjasani64 Did you set up your Widget filter settings correctly?

Should be something like Period - Equals - “Use Parameter checkbox” (TRUE) then your value is the Dashboard parameter you named.
