I need to add details from Opportunity to “Project Quote” by using following highlighted checkbox. But it cannot be selected.

As defined in the article This check box is cleared and unavailable for changing if in the Quote Type box, Project Quote is selected.

This option can be used only if there are sales quotes under the quotes tab of the opportunity.

Hello, based on this thread it seems like we cannot convert an opportunity to a project quote and keep the details tab from the opportunity? Is there a particular reason for that? It seems to be very useful to bring the details and help with data entry on the quote side. Is there a workaround someone can share?
agreed...not sure why the detail lines would not carry over, unless there is too much PROJECT-RELATED information needed on the Opportunity Screen for the system to handle?
also, would be nice to be able to PRINT something to send to the customer/prospect on the Opportunity Screen, as without some type of details to send it’s tough to express some type of price of the deal before transferring over to a Sales/Project Quote.
It’s almost like the OPPORTUNITY is completely verbal….in all cases...but at least in situations with a sales quote the details will come over.
