Adding Details from Opportunity to Project Quote

As defined in the article This check box is cleared and unavailable for changing if in the Quote Type box, Project Quote is selected.

As @manikantad18  stated, this is used for Sales Quotes and the Details attached to that such as Inventory Items.

I need to add details from Opportunity to “Project Quote” by using following highlighted checkbox. But it cannot be selected.

 

 @nawanjanahansamali50 If there is a combination of project quotes and sales quotes in the quotes tab of the opportunity when we create the sales quote / Project quote "add details from the opportunity" option will not be available 

This option can be used only if there are sales quotes under the quotes tab of the opportunity.

You will need a custom method to change the out of box behavior

Hello, based on this thread it seems like we cannot convert an opportunity to a project quote and keep the details tab from the opportunity? Is there a particular reason for that? It seems to be very useful to bring the details and help with data entry on the quote side. Is there a workaround someone can share?
