Using Project Manager Email for project activation notice

I have an e-mail that triggers off a business event that tracks when a project is switched to Active status.

I’m using this phrase in the Email Template “To:” line ((PMProject_ownerID!Email)) but it is not picking up the Project Manager we have selected as the OwnerID on the Projects (PM301000) screen.

When I use this phrase in the body of the tempolate:  ((PMProject_ownerID_description)) I DO get the correct first and last name of the project manager.  But even using this phrase:  ((PMProject_ownerID_Email)) I still can’t pull the E-mail into the “To:” line.

Do I just have the wrong syntax when trying to pull the Email address into the “To:” line??

Hi @dguild ,

Can you please try to create GI and  Left join the PMProject with Contact based on PMProject.OwnerID =  Contact.ContactID

And in Resuld grid also add the email field

Then create the Business event using GI screeen instead of PMProject.
After this you can add the email field in Email Template.
This should work.

Hi @dguild

Try using "To: line" as shown below, or something similar.

To:   ((PMProject.OwnerID.DefContactID.EMail))

Best Regards,

Thanks!  Based on your suggestion I’ve tried

:   ((PMProject.OwnerID.DefContactID.EMail))

:   ((PMProject.OwnerID_DefContactID_EMail))

:   ((PMProject.OwnerID.ContactID.EMail))

:   ((PMProject.OwnerID_DefContactID_EMail))

:   ((PMProject.OwnerID_ContactID_EMail))

:   ((PMProject.DefContactID.EMail))

:   ((PMProject_DefContactID_EMail))

...but none have worked.  Any have another suggestion?

Yes!  I went with this!  I was so focused on using PMProject, that I didn’t even think about using a new GI.  Thanks!
