- Customer was billed for wrong rental period (e.g., 10 days instead of 7)
- Wrong rate was applied (daily vs weekly)
- Wrong equipment item was billed
Return Date Adjustments
- Equipment was returned earlier/later than recorded
- Meter readings (hours, mileage) were entered incorrectly
Contract Modifications (Retroactive)
- Rate change that needs to apply to already-invoiced periods
- Discount was missed on prior billing cycles

On serial number corrections: It could include that, but serial/asset number corrections are often handled differently — typically through inventory or asset management screens rather than a "rental correction" workflow. Changing a serial number is more of a data fix, whereas rental corrections usually deal with financial/billing adjustments.
