How to get Project Template copy to work?

When trying to copy a project template, we are getting “Any unsaved changes will be discarded.” when trying to save the template and by doing so, the entire template is wiped out. We used to be able to copy project templates, but it is not working now. We are on 21R2.

Any ideas what would have happened that is blocking that functionality?

Per Acumatica Support, “It appears that this issue is resolved in 22R1, build 101. You may refer below link to download the product and its release notes.
https://community.acumatica.com/supported-releases-67/acumatica-2022-r1-update-1-build-22-101-0085-8880. A work around is to deselect Auto Number on the Segmented Keys (CS202000)

We just keyed in the new template, but may try out turning off autonumbering next time if we need to copy another template before upgrading.

@dmzasdf  Have you tried making sure that the name is valid with your segmented key?  I did a quick search and there are not any known issues for this. I tested 22 R1 and it works fine.   Can you please enter a case so we can take a look?

When your copy fails, can you find any messages in the Trace?

@laura01 below is the trace that I cannot tell whether it indicates errors. The issue is that copying templates results in a blank template after entering a valid project segment 1 value; project segment 2 is autonumbered.
