Tracking and Managing Revisions in Acumatica and QMS

We would like to know how you addressed Revision control for Inventory and Manufacturing within Acumatica.  We are in the Life Science industry and we have regulatory requirements around Revision control at the item level.  We are considering native Acumatica and QMS for Acumatica but neither seems to address this.  If you have experience with this matter within Acumatica, please share.

A lot of people will use an Attribute at the item to do this. It is a bit clunky, but it works. Otherwise you could build a customization to control the revision process for the items.  There is a link here to an idea.

Hi @mcullen55 

Can you give an example of the Stock item. Enabling Lot tracking and using Lot number as Revision may work better in your case as workaround. I have voted for the feature request as well.

@vkumar the issue with using Lot # as revision if if you also have a serial number, you cannot use both (unless there is some way to do that that I haven’t figured out). If you have a requirement for a revision on the stock item, you generally also have a lot AND serial requirement.
