When editing a purchase order, the order needs to be put “on hold” before the edits can be made.

Its super easy to forget to “remove hold” after the order has been saved. Is it possible to change the config so that when an order is saved after editing, the hold is automatically removed?

If someone forgets to remove the hold, the order is essentially invisible which can result in another order being placed as Acumatica thinks the stock is no longer on order.

HI @chrisross

This is standard Acumatica workflow, you would need to change the workflow with a customization.

Agree with @Kandy Beatty another way you could do it is to use a Business Event to update any Purchase Orders that are on Hold to Remove Hold and set it to run on a. You could have also do it based on a GI so that when the PO is saved and the Status is remove hold then it runs but this can get annoying as if the user tries to make another change and save the record they may get the error message that the record has been updated and they need to refresh the order.

A very simple customization 😉
