Currently, in Sales Order Preferences, there is only one default Shipment Numbering Sequence configured (e.g., SH####).
However, the business requirement is to have different shipment numbering sequences depending on the Order Type.
For example:
Standard Orders → SH####
RW Order Type → SL####
Is it possible to configure multiple shipment numbering sequences based on Order Type?
If not available natively, is there a workaround (e.g., customization, automation, business event)?

I believe you can achieve this by custom development. You can change your settings to switch to a manual numbering sequence, where you enter your shipment number manually, and then allow your customization to manage it based on the type.
