Is there a way to give certain users access to file management while restricting what modules they can see on the Search in Files screen?
We attach documentation and manuals to orders, and if a document applies to multiple orders it ends up being uploaded multiple times. We would like users to link to the file instead, which would conserve space, make updates easier, and give us better visibility into what the document is attached to through the entities tab.

This kind of file/attachment visibility restriction is not currently available for all files.
If you are working with Project documents you could look into the use of File Tages; File Tags • Form Reference Guide • Acumatica Beacon
Which should restrict visibility of documents in Search in Files for project/construction documents.
If you need to restrict visibility of non-projects documents that would require a customization.
