Hi! My name is Iqra Harrison, and I’m a Senior Business Consultant (recently promoted to Director of Chaos) at Protelo Inc. I embrace this title both professionally and personally. Whether I’m finding innovative solutions to business problems or orchestrating harmless office pranks (like hiding 200+ tiny ducks around our Folsom office), I love making memorable moments that bring people together.
My journey to becoming an Acumatica MVP started as an end-user leading an implementation which gave me firsthand insight into business challenges and operations. That experience, combined with my background in accounting across multiple industries, sharpened my ability to solve problems imaginatively and communicate complex ideas effectively. Transitioning into consulting, I quickly earned my Acumatica certifications and continued leading complex implementations and successful upgrades. I was able to focus on helping clients leverage native features and automation, avoiding costly customizations.
Now, at Protelo, I play a key role in expanding our Acumatica practice—streamlining processes, assisting in sales, leading projects, and mentoring consultants as they transition into Acumatica. I thrive on tackling challenges head-on, whether it’s optimizing implementations, strategizing with clients, or fostering a collaborative team environment. My approach is all about blending functional expertise with creative problem-solving to drive results.
Being named an Acumatica MVP for two consecutive years has been an incredible honor. It reflects my passion for the Acumatica community and my commitment to making a difference through mentoring, sharing knowledge, or simply bringing a little more dazzle into the world of ERP. It also validates the hard work I’ve put into mastering both the strategic and technical aspects of Acumatica and the genuine connections I’ve built with clients, colleagues, and peers.
It fuels my drive to keep pushing boundaries – with a dash of chaos, of course!
The chaos doesn’t end just because I’m not working! At home, I find joy in regularly pranking my husband and daughter, bringing the same energy and fun into our family life. When I’m not pulling pranks, you can find me exploring my happy place, Gatorland!
Fun fact: Gators are my favorite animal because they’re one of the closest living relatives to dinosaurs! Their adaptability reminds me of how I approach challenges—constantly evolving and finding creative solutions in business and at home.
