We enjoy hiking, riding, swimming, and running in the outdoors when we're not working. When I'm not on the trails or in front of a screen, I like to discover new places, read about the past, and find decent coffee. I’m Brian Stevens, a developer on Acumatica ERP since 2018 after two decades of supporting a legacy ERP. Having participated in seven, I am a huge advocate for the annual hackathon that kicks off summit every year. I worked for an Acumatica customer until early 2024 when I joined Nuvei and entered the ISV landscape. My duties as an Acumatica customer spanned not only development, but also training and implementation which gave me valuable perspective as the end user. Now I use that perspective to consider the user experience for customizations supporting our payment solutions. At the 2025 Hackathon, my team created the Acumatica 3D Photo Booth. Upload a normal photo of a person to a sales order and click a simple button on the sales order screen. Then walk over to the Creality 3D printer, ensure the print bed is clear, and print the file that has been deposited on the printer. A few minutes later, see the person in the normal photo as a 3D miniature.I have a wife and 2 sons. Whe

Hi! My name is Iqra Harrison, and I’m a Senior Business Consultant (recently promoted to Director of Chaos) at Protelo Inc. I embrace this title both professionally and personally. Whether I’m finding innovative solutions to business problems or orchestrating harmless office pranks (like hiding 200+ tiny ducks around our Folsom office), I love making memorable moments that bring people together. My journey to becoming an Acumatica MVP started as an end-user leading an implementation which gave me firsthand insight into business challenges and operations. That experience, combined with my background in accounting across multiple industries, sharpened my ability to solve problems imaginatively and communicate complex ideas effectively. Transitioning into consulting, I quickly earned my Acumatica certifications and continued leading complex implementations and successful upgrades. I was able to focus on helping clients leverage native features and automation, avoiding costly customization
Hello! My name is Aasha, pronounced (AH-shah). I joined the Acumatica community in 2020 when our mid-size construction company switched from being on QuickBooks for almost 20 years to Acumatica. I have learned so much about cloud-based applications ever since and what a world it is! My primary role is accounting/finance driven and has quickly become heavily IT/SAAS oriented. I’ve been with my current company for 8.5 years and have witnessed and been a part of so much growth and technology advancements. I am excited for years to come as our business continues to grow and the challenges it brings. I’ve met some wonderful individuals through our Acumatica partner and also by attending Acumatica Summit. It’s a great time to collaborate with other professionals, learn some new tricks, see what’s coming down the pipeline, and of course having some fun away from the everyday grind 😊 I reside in the Kansas City area. Outside of my professional role, you’ll find me spending time with my young

Does anyone know if it’s possible to create an Approval Map for Purchase Receipts? We need to create an Approval Map that will put a Purchase Receipt into “Pending Approval” status and send it to an approver when the REMOVE HOLD action is executed on the Purchase Receipt screen (PO302000). We currently use Approval Maps for a variety of things, so we have a fairly good understanding of how to create them. But when we tried to create one for our Purchase Receipts, we discovered that “Purchase Receipts” isn’t an option in the Entity Type list. The closest thing to it is “Purchase Orders” which is a completely different object. We also discovered that there doesn’t appear to be a “Purchase Receipts Preferences” screen like the ones used to enable approvals for Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, AR, etc.. The closes thing we could find was the “Receipt Assignment Map:” option on the “Purchase Orders Preferences” screen but that’s for assignment maps, not approval maps. Has anyone in the communit

I have been working with Acumatica at Haun Welding Supply, a 4th generation business in the northeastern United States, for about 7 years now. I have had the pleasure to work with all aspects of the Acumatica product, providing insight on how to get the most out of the software while enhancing the business. Haun selected Acumatica due to the unique business requirements and the ability to adapt Acumatica as our line of business software was not on the market with how we would need to use it. I have been a member of the developer MVP community since 2019, after joining my first Hackathon in Houston.Being a member of the Developer MVP Community (Now branded the Developer All-Stars) has allowed me to be a part of a team to collaborate and share insights where I would not have otherwise been able to due to being on a small team. I enjoy sharing solutions that I have developed with the community, as I have benefited from others sharing as well. That is one of the things that I love about th

My journey with ERP systems kicked off early when I was tinkering with my dad's customizations on the MAS 500 platform. My dad emigrated from South Africa to the Bay Area and got into ERP systems early in his career, and watching him work with these systems really sparked my interest. After a stint as a project manager in an aerospace tooling firm, I eventually circled back to my true passion: software. A project for a soon-to-be Acumatica user in the Bay Area blew me away with the platform’s flexibility and power, and I've been hooked ever since.I've been working on Acumatica since 2018 and have been flying solo as an independent developer, crafting integrations for a range of industries—from genetic testing to insurance services. Nowadays, I run a small dev firm called Contou Consulting, but I still get plenty of hands-on development opportunities.Being an MVP really aligns with my approach as an independent developer. I love helping folks who are just a few steps behind me by sharin
I work for Gilcrest Manufacturing, a global leader in cleanroom panel manufacturing. I joined as an apprentice in October of 2022, with no knowledge of IT or business systems, the implementation of Acumatica was in the works, but we eventually went live in April of 2023. We had a fair few teething issues and with the combination of our VAR and internal team we overcame them and are seeing the benefits of implementing Acumatica.First, I was only a departmental superuser for the Contracts team, in which my base role is, delivering training on the system as well as performing my duties as a contracts coordinator which included managing contracts for various pharmaceutical clients, and drawing cleanrooms using our panels in AutoCAD. My involvement with Acumatica grew rapidly, and by January of 2024, I was the business lead for Acumatica, searching for process improvements and exposing bottlenecks for this purpose. In March of 2024, I started a Business Analysis apprenticeship to aid my ski

Greetings, Acumatica Community! I’m Laura Barber. I am so excited to have earned 4 consecutive MVP awards for my volunteer work in the Community. (I have answered more posts than anyone else in the galaxy – answering a high volume of questions is how I earned my MVP awards.) After leaving Solomon Software, I worked for eight different Partner organizations and also worked for a brief time at Acumatica, Inc. At first, I managed Technical Support services for clients, later transitioning to Training and Implementations. Acumatica first entered my life in 2013. Prior to Acumatica, I worked extensively with QuickBooks, Dynamics, Sage, and NetSuite, giving me a broad perspective on ERP systems.Today, at my third company running Acumatica, I serve as a Solutions Archit
