Hello everyone, 

 

A very warm welcome to the Women in Tech (WiT) Community!

 

You may be wondering, why do we need a WiT Community when we already have a yearly WiT Luncheon at the Acumatica Summit? 

 

Well! As we’ve watched the number of WiT Luncheon attendees grow and grow, we’ve realized that engaging with everyone once a year is just not enough! We felt the need to create a global community for networking, mentorship, and career development—a place where women in tech could support and inspire one another every day, all year long.

 

We’d love for you to:

  • Connect, network, and grow relationships with WiT Community members.
  • Engage with the community through ongoing dialogue and participation in events and activities.

I joined Acumatica in Dec 2020 as the Marketing Manager of Demand Generation. I focus on demand gen campaigns like micro verticals, compete campaigns and more.

I look forward to meeting more female leaders and peers, learn more about what they do and share ideas and experiences :)

Hi there!

1. Where are you located?

I am located in Houston, TX, USA

2. Tell us a bit about your company and role.

I joined Accounting Business Solutions as an Acumatica consultant in January 2018 as a project manager and implementation specialist. I assist in project planning, project management, deployment and post go live support.

3. What do you hope to get out of this group?

I am excited to meet all the other lovely ladies in tech and creating a network of awesome peers!

I am located in Seattle, WA, USA

I’m the Director of Integrated Marketing and Demand Generation at Acumatica since July 2020, and I feel so fortunate to be able to work on both partner marketing helping our VARs market Acumatica, and leading Acumatica’s demand generation efforts.

3. What do you hope to get out of this group?

I enjoy speaking with people in the industry to learn more about their success and experience to learn from other leaders. I also love sharing my knowledge with others - so let me know if you want to chat.

I’m a Product Manager - Distribution here at Acumatica.  I have been at Acumatica for a little over a year now.  I enjoy thinking about and helping to build product.

I enjoy meeting our customers and partners and Community is the ideal forum for that.  I’m looking to make more connections and to engage in product discussions.  I love hearing about our customers’ business and how they are using Acumatica to solve real-world problems and seize opportunities.  I am also open to mentoring or being mentored by women in this group.  If you would like to connect, please reach out.

I am the Global Rewards Manager at Acumatica. I joined in April 2022. I focus on compensation (salaries/incentive programs), position descriptions, and learning all about the different roles and people in the organization.

Hi All!

This is super exciting!

1. Where are you located?

I am located in Altoona, PA, USA

I am an implementation consultant at Kensium. I do full cycle implementations whether they are ones that can take up to a year or I do ones that are Fast Tracks. I’ve worked with pretty much every module in Acumatica as well. :)

3. What do you hope to get out of this group?

I am looking forward to collaborating with other women in tech and specifically Acumatica and see how we can improve the space. I am also hoping to meet many of you ladies at Summit this year!

I joined Acumatica in Oct 2021 as a Customer Success Manager. I work with and support Acumatica partners driving sales and renewals for existing customers.

I joined Acumatica in Jun 2015 as a junior specialist and had tremendous growth since then. I’m Education Project Manager now with experience I learned during my work at Acumatica. I’m in charge of organizing online and onsite (Summit) training sessions. I also work on the development side of the certification program, managing the delivery of the certification tools.

I am located in Syracuse, NY, which is about 5 hours north of New York City.

I work for Polaris Business Solutions, an Acumatica VAR. I started working for Polaris in January 2022. I am the Pre-Sales Manager and working on a lot of our marketing campaigns and content.

I am the Marketing Manager for Evron.  I started at Evron in October of 2021 and started working with Acumatica at the same time.  Previously I had worked with marketing other ERPs at another firm.

Hi, I’m Laura Carpenter

1. Where are you located?

I am located near Lancaster, PA (about 1 hour west of Philadelphia)

2. Tell us a bit about your company and role.

I am the Accounting & Application Administrator for Dutchland, Inc.  We are an Acumatica customer and I grew into this role about 2 years ago.  Our company is a manufacturing and construction company building water and wastewater treatment tanks for the public and private sectors.  I have been with our company for 19+ years and have worn many hats here.

3. What do you hope to get out of this group?

I love the collaboration with other women in the IT world.  I am looking forward to building out my network and finding support with the other ladies in this group.  I also have very much enjoyed the WiT Luncheons at the past 2 summits I have attended and I’m looking forward to it in 2023.  :-)

Talking to other women in tech always inspires me! There are so many of us in this industry now. I still get flashbacks being the minority in my computer science and math classes in University. Looking forward to our WIT sessions on the Summit 2022!

Hello!  

I’m excited to join this group.

Where are you located?

I am located in Wilson, NC.  It’s about an hour east of Raleigh.

2. Tell us a bit about your company and role.

I am the IT manager at Tobacco Rag Processors and its subsidiary Wind River Tobacco. My job is essentially a game of whack-a-mole.  I handle customization, report modification and creation, and user support for our ERP and other software, I am responsible for the network and security, planning, purchasing and overseeing any new systems needed for phones and networking, as well as issuing, tracking, and supporting our hardware and am the point of contact for our vendors.   

My company is a supplier of products and services to tobacco product manufacturers and tobacco dealers.  We sell cut rag, blended tobacco, dry ice expanded tobacco (DIET), reconstituted tobacco, re-dried lamina strips, as well as cigar and cigarette filters. We also offer warehousing, inspection area and set-up, logistics and consulting services and buy unprocessed (green) tobacco, re-dried strips and by-products both domestically and internationally. 

3. What do you hope to get out of this group?

I hope to make connections with other women in tech.  As a female in a male dominated industry, in a male dominated field, I look forward to engaging with others as we break the mold and change perceptions.

Hello! 

1. Where are you located?  Overland Park, Kansas which is outside of Kansas City! 

2. Tell us a bit about your company and role. I am the Director of Accounting and Administration at a mid-size employee owned restoration company. I wear a lot of hats and since we switched to Acumatica, I’ve grown a lot in the I.T. realm. I joined our company’s leadership team almost a year ago (wow!) and am the only woman on the team. It’s a great team and I am honored to be a part of it. 

3. What do you hope to get out of this group?  I would love to connect to other women in similar role/professional environment! Although I’m not in a primary I.T. only role, it would be nice to share in ideas, struggles, wins, etc. as we navigate through our digital transformation journey!

I joined Acumatica back in 2014 and still happily here to witness the tremendous growth and development through out the years! I started as a Support Consultant and later on moved to Services team, currently working as a Functional Consultant, helping Partners/ Customers to identify ways of using Acumatica in a custom way that matches their specific business needs.

I joined my current VAR as the CSM in Dec of 2019.  I have had the opportunity to expand and manage our Client Success Department over the past few years.  With the help and encouragement from the community of strong women leaders, I have grown in my current organization (Thank you!).  I now manage and support our CSM, Upgrade, Marketing Teams.

3. What do you hope to get out of this group?
