Performance Issues in the New UI

We just had a customer upgrade to 2025 R2 and everything seems to take a little longer and timeout errors are fairly common. We noticed this in 2025 R1, but the issues seem to persist in 2025 R2.

For example I just imported about 2,000 invoices and the GI for the invoices and memos list in the modern UI is offering a timeout error. The issue resolves itself when switching the screen back to classic.

Is this a common experience on other sites?

I see this was posted 7 months ago.  Is there any update on this issue?  Is there a patch fix for the speed issues?  We recently upgraded to 25r2 Modern UI.  We forced ourselves to run it in Modern UI to help expose issues with our customizations but the speed issues were too significant to continue, so we recently switched back to Classic UI.

That’s frustrating to hear and like carcher I’d love for some sort of official word on this.  We’ve been told that Modern UI will be faster because of better client/server design, pushing more processing to the client since the data pipelines (ie, the Internet Tubes) are faster now.

Acumatica Performance in general is our biggest frustration by far.  We love the system, but the speed is constantly frustrating our users.  I’d told some of them that Modern UI will help with that and it’s sad to hear that it may not.

We have customers using modern UI in production, but they probably should not be. They really need to fix a lot before they force the switch in 2026 R2 or 2027

There are some nice elements to modern UI, but the noticeable loss takes away from any gain.
