Monitoring System Queues

We’ve had issues lately with Business Events firing late (10-15 minutes delayed).  I’ve been told to look at the System Queue Monitor screen to see what’s going on, but this shows me almost nothing.  I have the three queues at the top (Push, Business Event, Commerce).  The bottom panel shows nothing.  Initially I didn’t have the Log Trigger Details checkbox checked, but that is checked now (with the “Keep Stats” field set to 2 days) and I’ve since restarted the system as well--still nothing shows up.

We do have a processing node, but I don’t see anything useful in this screen on either that or the user node.

We are SaaS; do I also need to have Acumatica enable anything on the server side?

@lairdtim I have did some reserch and with the help of AI i got the below steps:

 

1. Verify Queue Configuration

  • Check "Log Trigger Details" is enabled with adequate retention (2+ days recommended)1

  • Confirm processing node status in System > Management > Service Management

  • Ensure "Enable Business Events" is active under Enable/Disable Features (SM204505)

2. Server-Side Considerations for SaaS

For cloud-hosted Acumatica instances:

  • Contact Acumatica Support to verify:

    • Queue processing thresholds

    • Background service health checks

    • Tenant-specific resource allocation

  • Request Business Events debug logging activation

  • Monitor Windows Event Logs on application servers for:

    • BusinessEventSubscriber errors

    • Memory allocation failures

    • Database connection timeouts15

Next Steps: If delays persist after basic checks, collect these diagnostics before contacting support:

  1. Screenshot of System Queue Monitor with timestamp

  2. Business Events list (filtered by status)

  3. IIS restart timestamps

  4. Any custom code using Business Events API

I haven’t, and support won’t touch it since we’re on 23R1.  We’ve kicked out 25R1 upgrade into high gear since that will get us onto a supported version and I’ve heard there are a number of Business Event enhancements in newer versions.
