We have encountered this scenario multiple times. PO line is received in full and returned to be cancelled and replaced with a different item. After returning the PO line you cannot cancel the line. You can mark it completed which closes the line. But this is confusing. If the PO line is returned and you no longer what the PO line you should be able to Cancel it not mark it complete. It does not make sense and is confusing for anyone reviewing the closed PO who does not know the full story. Thus, we are left adding notes to the line item such as “Returned and Canceled.” If a PO line is returned and cancelled you should absolutely be allowed to mark it Cancelled, marking it complete makes no sense - it’s not completed it’s canceled.
@simonliang91 we will give this a try, thank you!
@simonliang91 we will give that a try thank you! On another note - we are using Shopify Plus B2B and many of our customers have Net 30 terms.I noticed there is no exporting of payment records. I believe means, anytime we receive payments our account team needs to cross check any web orders and manually mark them as paid on the Shopify Plus store. Do you know if exporting payments records to is on roadmap? In these cases, the payment would be made on the AR Invoice - so it would need to somehow link to the Sales Order/Web Order.
@simonliang91 sounds like I need to put a bug in Shopify’s ear - it worked when demand they add a PO number field at checkout, pretty standard for B2B environment! 😁
@Yuri Karpenko that’s what we will have to do, but the problem is most of these customers purchase both through our online store and offline. So that means our accounting team has to cross check when ever we receive payments, it will require a lot of manual work in order to keep payment records straight.
@Laura02 I did check the IN transaction related to the MO order under the shipments tab of the order. The IN Transaction is released. I also checked for any unreleased IN transaction and there are none.
Well, this is embarrassing. I back dated the MO order and when looking at the inventory transactions history I did not change the start date far enough back in time. After appropriately changing the start date, I do see the IN transaction.
@Chris Hackett as far as I know, there is currently no automated/syncing solution. When this happens, we capture the payment on Shopify and create a manual CC payment entry in Acumatica to account for the transaction in GLs and mark order/invoice as paid.
@Dhiren Chhapgar are you referring to Acumatica 2024 R1 (24.100.0139 or higher) 2024 R1 Deployment Package? We are on Acumatica 2023 R2 (23.200.0136 or higher) 2023 R2 Deployment Package and still have this issue - just want to verify which release you are referring.
@Dhiren Chhapgar we have the 2023R2 package installed - was that package updated recently? I believe we downloaded the zip file in February - do we need to redownload and republish?
@Dhiren Chhapgar we redownloaded and republished the March 22 2024 release for 2023 R2 and confirmed this did solve the GI parameters issue - thank you!
Hi @Naveen Boga We are trying to do something similar with AR Invoice (AR301000) to make the Customer Order Nbr (ARInvoice.InvoiceNbr) editable after releasing the invoice. From what I could find, we need to add a new workflow to the screen customization and add code for cache update. I have no problem adding a new workflow and unchecking Disabled for the field we need, but I am having trouble with adding the cache update code.
Hi @Joe Schmucker I appreciate your quick response and feedback. I am giving this a try now. Occasionally, salespeople make a typo on a customers PO Nbr or the customer did not provide a PO Nbr at time of ordering and we need to correct/update it after the Invoice has been released. Current process is to “Correct” the invoice, but it’s not a clean process and often confuses the customer. Please take a look at how I have set it up and let me know if this looks correct to you, I have not setup a dialog box before.Dialog BoxAction for Dialog Box Field Update
Hi @Joe Schmucker I appreciate you sharing the video - I was under the impression we could add this dialog box and action no code. Are the steps he went through necessary or will the dialog box and action added to the menu like I did above be sufficient to update the database field?
