A number of clients are creating GI’s. We are concerned that they could accidently change existing GI’s that they had not created or even system GI’s.
Is there a way from preventing this from happening ?

Yeah, this can be a problem. Training users to make their own copy of a GI rather than editing an existing GI is probably the best way to go. Also taking regular system snapshots.

As you say, restricting the editing of GI’s defeats the purpose of allowing the client being able to create their own GI’s.
