Does anyone have a report suggestion for getting invoiced and entered orders within the same report (attached) without having to rebuild all the structure.

yeah i ended up rebuilding the report. report designer is just very cumbersome compared to ssrs. hopefully acumatica will address the quirks their designer has. GI’s are great except when you have people that just want a report emailed to them without having to navigate into your ERP solution.

i’m guessing the answer is inject a sub-report.

Hi @bwaldie,

Since your report already has the grouping structure built, the cleaner approach is to modify the main dataset to UNION ALL the Invoiced Orders query and the Entered Orders query into a single dataset, adding a constant field such as ‘OrderType’ in each SELECT to distinguish them.

Then adjust your existing Sum() expressions to conditionally total based on OrderType (e.g., =Sum(IIf([OrderType]='Invoiced',[Amount],0))).

This lets both sets of data use the same grouping and footer totals without rebuilding the report layout.
