Pro Forma Invoice - Won't Release and Status incorrect

Hello,

I am attempting to Release a Pro Forma Invoice and I am receiving the following error message “This document is already released” which seems to be incorrect because if it is released it should have the closed status. Has anyone seen this similar issue? currently using Acumatica version 2021R2.
