Reopen Financial Period without Financial Supervisor Access

Is there a way to allow a user to Reopen a Financial Period without giving them access to the Financial Supervisor Role?

We want our AP and AR users to have access to reopen financial periods, but do not want them posting to closed periods, which is happening with the Financial Supervisor Role.

Thanks all!

Hello @tburnett

If a period is closed, and on GL preferences, the checkbox 'Restrict Access to closed periods' is on, only the financial supervisors can post to closed periods

Even with this checkbox on, the users with financial supervisor role assigned, can post to any closed period

When this checkbox is not on, any user can post to closed periods

Also, only financial supervisors can re-open a closed period.

Thank you

Unfortunately no, not in my experience. Also that role is custom to Acumatica so it’s not possible to make this using conventional access rights.

Hello @tburnett ,

I would customize the program if the requirement is to handle transactions programmatically for AP and AR roles.

Hope this helps!
