I have created several stock items using the create template item functionality. I set the pending cost and pending cost date on the template. The items are created with the pending cost and pending cost date, but they don’t show in the Update Standard Cost process list. Items created normally are listed in the Update Standard Costs process window.

I tested using the Template/Matrix item creation and it worked fine on Acumatica Version 2024R1.
Please tell me your Acumatica Version.

I tried testing with stock items using the Template and found that they are still displayed on the "Update Standard Costs" screen.

I’m not using the item template to create the item. I’m using the Template/Matrix item creation. I have the pending standard cost set on the Template Item. When I create the matrix items, it shows the pending cost on the item, but does not show on the Update Standard Cost processing screen. See screenshots below.

They are on 2023R2. I tested on my 2024R1 and it also worked. I will check on getting them upgraded to 2024R1.
