Hi Good morning.

Appreciate your help on this.

What will happen when an employee goes from 1 union  local to another?  Does it create an issue?

Example:   Employee move from Apprentice level 1 to Apprentice level 2 and some of the Deduction and Benefits of these union are different.

Thank you

It depends on how you have your union set up. If the Union Deductions & Benefits are by Labor Item and their are different labor items based on an App 1 and App2 with different rates, then yes and if it is a percentage.

Below is for all Labor Items since there is no Labor Item indicated. You can set rates by Labor Item on the Unions.

It would depend on how you have the unions set up. If you have the rates by labor item, you can indicate which hours are for which labor item on the paycheck and it should calculate correctly. It will depend if it is a percentage of something or if it is a flat amount though.

@mblassingame35  Thank you. Maybe my question is not clear. Want I mean is does the Deductions and Benefits will be updated based on the Union set to the employee?   (from Apprentice level 1 to Apprentice level 2) Thanks

As long as you setup the Unions in the Payroll Preferences with the appropriate wages, Deductions & Benefit values by Labor Item and Union, then everything will calculate properly.  Since a Union is typically assigned on the employee record, you may have to change the union in the time entry or on the paycheck to ensure the correct union setup is used.
