Question

Incorrect SUTA Code

While working on 2Q reporting we realized that some employees either had the wrong State SUTA codes or no SUTA codes at all. Does anyone know of a way to correct that to get it into their payroll files? I think we can create a paycheck adjustment to record the tax but not sure how to get the reportable wages to calculate correctly.

Thanks

Hi jwengerd,

You can define the state that should get unemployment tax by going to Employee Payroll Settings ~ Tax Settings by completing the Base of Operations - State.

Hi @SoniaEchols90,

We’re good with what should have been done, I’m trying to correct for what we didn’t do.

So, e.g. if I reported Wages to DC but they should have been reported to MD, is there a way to adjust the reportable wages to DC and MD under those SUTA codes?

Thanks
