Hi,

 

We have a customer who owns time & expense management and payroll. They would like to explore integrating the time entry in time and expense mgt with payroll. My only issue is that i can not seem to find a way for a released timecard to make it into the payroll system.

Does time entry integrate with payroll or is the integration and export/import?

Thanks for your question here in the community!

In the Payroll module > Payroll Batches, when you add employee; you have the option to select the check box Time Activities in the header.   This tells Payroll to look at Time Activities and compare the Period Start and Period End of the Payroll Batch and the employees in the Payroll Batch.  If there are matches, then Payroll Batches pulls the time activities into the batch.  

Or, if they do not want to use Time anymore; in 2021 R1, in Payroll Batches > Earning Details you will have the ability to import directly into Payroll Batches.

Having difficulty in 2020 R2 Payroll when trying to either enter time activites manually or through an import to process payroll.  Receiving errors, but if it worked in 2020 R1 why is not working in R2?  PR Error: There were errors during Earning Details creation for some Employees. Please check the trace for more details.

 

The Trace is stating the activity has not been released so Payroll cannot bring in the data requested.  If you continue to have issues - please submit a support case so we can assist you.
