Hello,

I am modifying access rights by role and ran into an issue. Under the menu for files the user can open the menu. If the user clicks on edit they will be taken to the home page if they do not have the correct permissions.

I found that under access rights by role under Hidden. There are two file descriptions. What is the difference between File Maintenance and Files.

Thanks

Hi @AndrewBGL

"File Maintenance" and "Files" access rights refer to different actions you can perform with files.

"File Maintenance" refers to the ability to manage or change files within the system. This includes tasks like creating, editing, deleting, and renaming files. Users who have been granted the "File Maintenance" access right can modify files within the system based on their assigned permissions.

"Files" refers to the ability to access and view files within the system. This includes tasks like opening, downloading, and viewing files. Users who have been granted the "Files" access right can access and view files within the system based on their assigned permissions.

Hope it helps!

Regards,

Sweta

Hi Sweta,

Can you please let us know how you are able to rename files in File Maintenance? Our team is looking into doing this and haven’t been able to resolve.  Thanks!
