I have workgroups set up to approval purchase orders, quotes, etc. However, the members of the group also enter purchase orders, quotes, RMA, etc. I would set up away that the owner/creator of the transactions can not approve is own work and that another member of the workgroup has to approve it. From audit perspective, approving your document could be an issue and seems to defeat the purpose of having workgroups. We just started using workgroups.
Any ideas? Is this a customization? Do I need a developer?
Thank you.

You can achieve without customization but it is not clean and has redundancy.
Create multiple Workgroups let say Group A (person A Excluded), Group B (Person B Excluded) and so on.
Under the Step that current Workgroup has assignment Rule, set the same number of Rules let say Group A Rule, Group B Rule and so on
in the condition of each Rule add a condition to your existing conditions as the Created By or Document Owner is equal to the person not included in the Workgroup. For instance, Group Rule A will have a condition like Document Created by does not equal Person A and in the assignment tab will be assigned to Group A.
The clean way that doesn’t require setting up these stuff will be Customization.
