Hi,

We are looking at the Replenishment reporting.  We need to plan for future orders, our lead times can sometimes take longer than 3 months to get a stock in.

What we need is to be able to plan future requirements.

Example:  We have 1 item in stock and 2 on order and there are 3 SO in the system 2 as back order but not showing up on the Replenishment section. So, in effect by the time, we receive the PO we are already out of stock.

So, we would like to be able to review everything in one place to plan future orders to ensure that we have SOH. Our Items are high value, so we don’t hold too many items at the same time.

Is there another area of the system that we could extract this information without going through individual Stock items (Inventory Summary isn’t sufficient for our needs and SOH inquiry)

Thank you in advance.

Material Requirements Planning would look at future demand and recommend purchasing base on lead time.

To oversimplify:

MRP sums inventory supply and demand over time before making sourcing recommendations

Inventory Replenishment only looks at current inventory values  - doesn’t consider future demand or supply
