Manufacturing Regulatory Compliance Mgmt (RoHS, REACH, PFAS, etc.)

We are consistently being reached for declarations and certifications for our products mostly via third party platforms on all regulatory compliance: Prop65, RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, PFAS, POPs, and TSCA. When my searches for Acumatica - Manufacturing capabilities aren’t yielding Construction and Financial compliance I’ve been directed towards the Certifications tab under an inventory item, or directed towards the Quality Management.

Looking to further explore the management Acumatica provides and am curious how others may be managing suppler declarations for components and raw material in Acumatica.

There's no dedicated supplier-declaration module, and the Certifications field and Quality module are item-centric and a bit thin for this. What's worked for us is using Activities as the document home: a custom Activity type (we called ours "Contract") with the declaration/cert attached as a file, hung off whichever entity fits e.g., the Stock Item for a component-level declaration, the Vendor for a supplier-wide one. It keeps everything in a consistent, findable place against the right record rather than scattered in generic attachments.

Side benefit for us is that since an activity can carry an end date: you can drop the cert's expiry there and run a GI over CRActivity to surface anything lapsing which is useful if your declarations have validity windows. But even just as a structured filing approach it's been more workable than the native options for us.

There are several Acumatica Integrated Solutions in the “Acumatica Marketplace” solving such requirements.

One of them I am working with is https://www.acumatica.com/acumatica-marketplace/eworkplace-apps-quality-management-suite-for-acumatica/
