Is it possible to use product configurator in Disassembly production order. I tried to do it but system is not displaying the configurator information to that we have configurator for this item and I am able to create normal Production order with the configurator.
No, you cannot use the Product Configurator on a production order when the order type has Function = Disassemble. Picking a configured product to disassemble is not supported today.
The Product Configurator is designed to build a product, it generates the material list and routing from the template BOM and the options selected. A disassembly order works in the opposite direction, breaking down a structure that already exists, so the configuration process does not apply to it.
+6Although you cannot use the Configurator, you certainly use the data from the Configuration results tables to create an import scenario to load the Materials to a production order. This article explains the DAC’s used in Manufacturing and it includes the configuration results table.
