Right now, you can add an estimated item from the Estimate record to an existing Sales Order, but some Acumatica users might want to create a Sales Order directly from an Estimate.
The current workflow requires...
- adding the Estimate to a Sales Quote or Opportunity
- converting that Sales Quote or Opportunity to a Sales Order after the new Stock Item records have been created from the Estimate record
The current workflow requires CRM and a lot of extra clicks. A streamlined estimate-to-new-order workflow would make Acumatica more attractive for ETO manufacturers who don’t have advanced opportunity-tracking, quote-tracking, or other CRM needs.
