All, I have an issue/question very similar to the one below, posted a few years back:

As it stands now, any sales or cs rep can view any note or email activity attached to a business account or customer. This is a good thing as reps will often fill in for others when they’re afk or on vacation etc.

But we now have a particular Business Account that’s being developed by our C suite where sensitive information is being shared. We could take this off channel, so to speak, but it’s easier to track by keeping it in Acumatica. But as it stands now, any sales or cs rep could view the activities attached to the BAccount. We would like (for now) to have this limited to only our CEO, COO and CFO.

Is there way to lock this down? Once the BAccount is converted to a full Customer it won’t be an issue. As it stands now we would like to have some sort of role-based viewing but I don’t think it would be possible without heavy customization. Thanks!

Would you consider putting the full account behind a restriction group?

So you would add the customer to a restriction group

The assign what users can see the restriction group. Here I am allowed see the restriction group

When I login as a user without access to this restriction group, they cannot find the account at all

This should also hide the activities and tasks related to this business account

Alan I had not considered this and although more restrictive than I would like, I think it would do the trick. I will try it today and let you know!
