Hi,

I have a requirement to default the tax category based on the entry type selected. Currently following options are available. My tax setup includes multiple tax categories under one tax zone. 

  1. System picks the default tax category for the tax zone attached to the entry type.Use can manually change it.
  2. we can use a non-stock item to default the tax category. Use has to select the tax category and also the  entry type in the cash transaction. 

Is there any way that I can set the tax category to pick automatically connected to an entry type?

Hello,

Acumatica currently has no Tax Category field connected to Banking Entry Types, no option in Cash Management Preferences to default a Tax Category to Cash Transactions screen.

To default the Tax Category based on the Entry Type will require customizations, 1) to add default Tax Category field to the Entry Types screen, and 2) to default the new value from the Entry Type into the existing Tax Category field on Cash Transactions screen.
