Is there a way to limit line items on an expense claim without customisation?

Hello Wilma,

What kind of limits do you need?

Restriction Groups can connect Employees to Non-Stock Labor items, or Employees to GL Expense Accounts, for example. Restriction Groups could limit Employee choices without customizations.

To use Restriction Groups, turn on Row Level Security. I recommend carefully testing in your ‘Sandbox’ tenant to ensure desired results, before configuring the same settings in your live tenant.

If I’ve guessed incorrectly, please provide details of what kind of limits you are seeking. Thanks.

@WilmaF It would need a customisation to change the Selector so it did not show certain items once you have a way of filtering them. It would not be a very difficult one.

Thanks @Laura, will have a look at this, but our company and branch set-up is quote complex with limits already applied with user access to specific branches etc. The issue really is that employees log too many line items per claim, making it very difficult for our Payroll team to review validity of claims and doing the necessary checks for Tax etc. We need to limit the amount of lines per claim for employees to max 10 lines.
