Does Acumatica allow the ability to group multiple purchases to one Asset Under Construction? A one to one relationship between a purchase and an Asset does not line up in all cases(Example--parts from one vendor and Service from another for one specific portion of an overall project).
The best practice that I’ve found for this so far is -
create a new fixed asset with FA303000, enter all required fields,
manually sum up all the documents, that you wish to bring to this fixed asset together.
then use reconciliation tab and relate all necessary documents.
With this, you can get the better Orig. acquisition cost.
If you were to create the fixed asset from “Convert Purchases to Assets”, the orig. acquisition cost would only derive from the first document. All later additions would only move the Current Cost.
This being said, I would highly welcome an option in Acumatica, to combine several vendor documents in Convert Purchases to Assets screen into one single fixed asset.
or maybe an option to update the Orig. Acquisition Cost, when switching an asset from under construction at the placed-in-service date.
