Currently, in the liability section of our balance sheet, "Purchase Accrual" and "Accounts Payable" are displayed separately. Our company’s accountant has requested that the values of these two items be combined and shown as a single line item on the balance sheet.

After checking, I noticed that it seems I could simply change the account class of "Purchase Accrual" from "othcurliab" to "AP" to achieve this.

However, would this cause any issues? Is this the most recommended approach? Are there any better alternative solutions?

@ray20 That actually wouldn't help in this case. Would have to see the Row Set for this report, but I'm guessing there is one Row where the data source is set to include all these accounts and expand so they are all displayed.

If above is true, you need to add a Row before existing one with the two account and set it to not expand. Then use the existing Row for the other accounts and set it to expand.

Either way, what you want is two rows, one with two accounts set to not expand, another with remaining accounts set to expand. Hope this helps, let me know if you would like help accomplishing this.

Yes, I set all account# under “AP” account class not expand.  So the only thing I have to do is to move “Purchase accrual”  from “otherliabitly” account class to AP account class.
I already did it, and seems no issue then.
