Accounts Payable Posting To Inactive General Ledger Accounts

Hi, hoping someone can help me here.

Our accounts payable module is posting to inactive general ledger accounts, which I then have to go and fix with a reclassification journal.

Is there a setting somewhere that I can change to ensure the posting isn’t allowed in the first place?

Hello,

In standard Acumatica, posting is NOT allowed to inactive accounts. 

  1. Please state your version.
  1. If you have customizations, temporarily disable them for this test. 
  1. Add a screen shot of an inactive account, Chart of Accounts screen.
  1. Add a screen shot of an entry to the same inactive account - being sure to include all warning and error messages in the screen shot.
  1. Show that you are able to release the entry (status changes to Posted or Unposted or Open).

Based on your results, seeing details from the above exercise, we will assist you further.
