Need to automate Appointment "Clone" action - Business event or customization


Hi All.  I need to automate the “Clone” process on the Appointments screen.

We have added a custom field to the Appointment screen which identifies why an appointment an appointment may not have been successfully completed.  When the appointment status is changed to “Completed” and the custom field is set to a specific value, the appointment needs to be cloned and scheduled for the next day.

I would have liked to have used a Business Event with either an “Action Execution” or an “Import Scenario”.  The problem I have is that the “Clone” action opens a new screen (FS.50.02.01) which requires entering the new scheduled date and executing the “Process” action.

As far as I have been able to determine, “Action Executions” and “Import Scenarios” cannot deal with being directed to a second screen after an action directs them there.  I am looking for confirmation on of this, or wondering if anyone has found any tricks for dealing with this.

If not, looks like I’ll need to do a customization.

You are unfortunately right. Potentially you could set the new Scheduled Date as Today +1 as a Default somehow.

But it might have to be a Customization.

Thanks for the input krausef77.

Setting the date is the lessor of the problems.  The bigger issue is not being able to execute the “Process” action on the “Clone Appointments” screen (the second screen), which is required to complete the cloning.
